My name is Patrick Ramsey.  I grew up in
Wichita, Kansas where I also graduated from
college and met my wife of ten years.  I began
my career over a decade ago in special
education. I also spent some time in ministry.
Through the experiences I had in both
contexts, I became increasingly aware of a
need for qualified counseling professionals.

By 2002, it became clear to me that my life
purpose was increasingly focusing on
counseling.  In a desire to offer the highest
quality of care to my clients, I decided to pursue
professional training and credentials in the field
of counseling.  Consequently, that year my wife
and I relocated to North Texas where I
completed a Master's in Counseling at UNT in
2005.  Throughout my training and supervision
period, I served as a guidance counselor for
Keller ISD.   During this time, I also became the
very proud father of two sons born in 2006 and
2007.
My counseling experience and interests focus on assisting individuals, families, and groups
as they grow in self-awareness and healthy relationship-building through communication. In
my practice, I take a holistic view of the self, which includes spiritual development and
nurturing for those clients who wish to include spirituality as part of their counseling
experience.

As research suggests, the relationship between the counselor and client is the most important
factor in counseling. For this reason, I make every attempt to facilitate a comfortable and
collaborative environment.  The methods and techniques I use are an eclectic, yet individually
tailored blend of solution-focused, cognitive and / or cognitive-behavioral techniques
designed to help the client with his or her goals.
A Bit About Me
Selecting a qualified counselor is a process that requires considerable thought and care.  In
order to make the most of a counseling relationship, it is important for you to find a trustworthy,
experienced professional with whom you feel a connection.  For this reason, I would like to take a
moment and introduce myself to you.
